Is This the Best Cover of Radiohead’s Creep?
Do yourself a favor and watch this: Erin Morton is a junior in the BFA Musical Theatre program at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and she absolutely blisters the paint off of the walls with her performance of Radiohead’s Creep. Wow. I actually got some goosebumps watching this.
BTW, other contenders for best Creep cover include Prince and a 1600-person pub choir.

Impressive, but I don't think anyone is going to top Haley Reinhart's version (which she nailed on the very first take!).
OK, that is fantastic. Effortless looking too, which kind of pisses me off. What a gift.
amazing
wow! often when singers riff on a tune, it can be lovely as a counterpart to the original. But she creates a lot of depth in what is (harmonically speaking) a simple song.
This is pretty great, but I’m going to suggest Paulina Villarreal learning the song as a challenge from her fans on Instagram. This is her nailing it after 4 hours. For those who don’t know who, she is the DRUMMER for the rock band The Warning. She is also the 2024 Drumeo Rock Drummer of the Year. But her cover is on piano. She is amazing and English is not her native language. I think she is 18 at the time of this video.
P.S. if you don’t know who the Warning is yet, do yourself a favor and listen to them. 3 sisters from Mexico. You probably saw their viral video cover of Enter Sandman 10 years ago. They are all grown up now and are one of the best up and coming rock bands right now.
(*whisper* the link you posted is a little borken. You might want to edit it.)
Well can’t edit it anymore but here is a good link https://youtu.be/A6Y4XpBxjU0?si=bcbUd6ui2CTjmgV3
This one where Avie duets with his mom singing classical Indian music is outstanding.
Dear god, the acoustic in that room are killing me! KILLING ME! As an amateur speaker builder I've learned that the room has as much to do with sound quality as the sound system. The singer is amazing, but I can't un-hear that room reverb. There must be an AI tool that can remove that...
Danielle Ponder would like to throw her hat in the ring.
Second that!
Incredible. And I also love how the pianist is just low-key *totally into it* there in the background.
A reader from Germany sent in this video of a duet performed on an episode of The Voice Kids.
The Scala version is my favorite.
Brandi Carlisle did an incredible version with guest guitarist Celisse on her 2022 tour and on Austin City Limits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QRpMozkk2M
I can't find a video that matches the experience of Celisse's solo when they played here in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Have to say, Carrie Manolakos does my favourite version but this one gives it a substantial run!
Wow. So good. Thanks for bringing this rendition into my life Jason.
Using this song as a vocal showcase just never resonates with me. I get it, it’s incredibly singable, but, like, maybe pay attention to the lyrics a little bit and try to put some of their meaning into your interpretation rather than just belting it?
Fuuuuuck that’s good. Chills, tears.
My favorite version was sung by Miss Bouvèé, a drag queen performing at Tropics in Wilton Manors for a crowd of gay men mostly too old to recognize the Radiohead song. She has a terrific voice. And she started out by talking about being demonized by Ron DeSantis and the Republicans of Florida. "What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here, I don't belong..."
