An 8K Cinematic Tribute to the Artemis II Mission
Using high-definition open source videos and photos from NASA and his own music, John Boswell (aka Melodysheep) created this mesmerizing eight-minute video recap of the Artemis II mission that enchanted us all back in the spring. Like all of his videos I’ve featured on KDO, this one is really well done.

It really is beautiful. Almost as beautiful as 8K virtual images. I feel bad for not sharing in the “dream,” but I still don’t understand the real purpose of the Artemis project, 57 years after Apollo 11. Aside from a very political demonstration (again) of American technological supremacy—which is highly debatable. What essential discoveries will we—humans—make on the Moon that we don’t already know? How will a human presence on the Moon allow us to accomplish tasks that robots and AI couldn’t do at a much lower cost? And that seems even more obvious to me when the ultimate (?) goal is said to be Mars! Seriously, who believes that we shall find solutions on Mars for our problems here? No comprendo.
