Living Colour’s Tiny Desk Concert
Living Colour recently visited the NPR Music office for a Tiny Desk Concert. Cult of Personality might be an all-time top 10 song for me โ I vividly remember their 1989 appearance on Saturday Night Live.1 They still got it!
- I probably saw their performance on Arsenio as well, but the SNL set is the one that sticks in my brain.↩

I saw them in Seattle last year and they were great!
They were my favorite band from 1989 to about 2005 or so. I never saw them live back then. Then about 10 years ago about a week after my second son was born I found out they were playing in Portland. Day of, I bought a ticket and it was SO GOOD. So cool to see they still have their fastball.
I saw them play at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor on the Cult of Personality tour in 1990(?). Incredible show then and they still have that presence! Who knew then that the anthem for our time was written in 1989?
Hell yeah, this is how it's done! Time for the power trio to make a comeback.
You "vividly" remember? Well played, sir. :p
Amazing. I saw them play at Lafayette College in Easton, PA back in 1991(?) and I just remember Will Calhoun being completely surrounded by his giant drum set. Such a great show.
