And the sprawl means long, lonely commutes, when the (right wing) talk radio hosts become your stand-in friends or coworkers, which Jen Senko in https://www.thebrainwashingofmydad.com attributes to the radicalization of her father. In a sense the sprawl is self-perpetuating.
