Hmm, I think I need to send him a map of the MUNI system in SF. It would be interesting to see a system that's only 14x14 pixels. Though, if he is including at-grade, I think we'd be the only system with cable cars.

I am seriously doubting the accuracy of the scales. Singapore is about 650 km^2 while Chicago is 600 km^2. Look at the corresponding subways. (Unless of course that the Chicago subway only occupies the downtown area). For comparison, New York City is about 1200 km^2 (including Staten Island).

Eugene: Chicago's rail system does not cover anywhere near the entire Chicagoland area. It doesn't even cover all of Chicago proper. There is an extensive bus system, however, that's not represented by the subway map.

Heh, comparatively small thought it may be--Chicago's train system is quite efficient--it takes you to all the important places. I don't have have a car, so I have to rely on public transportation--but I've never had to take a bus.

I sent him the SF map and he added the MUNI METRO system, it looks so small in comparison to some others. And returning to the site, I'm sure my face went pale as I scrolled down and saw Madrid. What a terrible tragedy the people of Madrid and of Spain are going though today.
