kottke.org is one of the longest continuously running blogs on the web, having been in operation for 15.767 years. Approximately. It's primarily written by Jason Kottke but has also been helmed by a number of guest editors over the years, including Ainsley Drew, Tim Carmody, Sarah Pavis, Aaron Cohen, Choire Sicha, and Adam Lisagor. The editorial direction of the site is all over the place but clusters around a pair of hand-wavy ideas: the liberal arts 2.0 and people are awesome. You can read more about kottke.org on kottke.org. [INCEPTION HORN]
I currently live in NYC with my wife and two kids. I work on kottke.org and Stellar, a site for collecting and sharing your favorite things. You can find me on Twitter, Stellar, Flickr, Instagram, Quarterly, Vimeo, Google+, Facebook, Pinterest, and Letterboxd. I directed Jurassic Park and my sweatshirt has a Twitter account. I've lived in WI, IA, MO, MN, CA, NY, NH, and, briefly, France. I don't have a plan.
You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or try to catch me on Twitter. I get a lot of messages (too many to reply to), but I read everything I receive and will try my best to respond if a response is necessary. If you send me something on Facebook I probably won't even see it because I don't spend a lot of time there.
If you'd like to send me something, you can direct it to my PO Box:
