Girls is coming back to HBO for a 5-episode run. Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, and Andrew Rannells are all returning. I loved this show and will tune in for sure.

Cosmopolitan on Adam Driver's absence from the revival:

This is absolutely no shade to Adam (the actor) and some shade to Adam (the character), but the revival will be better without him. During its original run, it felt like Adam became bigger than what the show could contain. A show called 'Girls' sometimes felt like it was actually about one neurotic 20-something guy.

Plus, the women will be nearing 40 in the revival, and let’s face it: None of them would have kept in touch with this man. As should be the case for all the unimpressive people we hook up with in our 20s, Adam would have fallen off the face of their earth shortly after the series finale, never to be heard from again. Some exes belong in the past, and he is definitely one of them.

Love that take.

I am baffled by people's continued acceptance and promotion of Lena Dunham.

In November 2017, actress Aurora Perrineau filed a police report accusing Girls writer and executive producer Murray Miller of sexually assaulting her in 2012 when she was 17.

Dunham released a statement defending Miller, gave lip service to supporting #metoo, but dismissed Perrineau's sexual assault claiming that she had "insider knowledge" proving that Perrineau's allegation was false.

In 2018 Dunham acknowledged that she did not, in fact, have "insider knowledge" and that she was just sticking up for her friend the sexual predator.
