Now open for business in Nyack, NY: Busman’s Holiday, a stationary store run by (former?) graphic designer Sam Potts, who announced the shop back in March in a KDO open thread. Lots of nice touches here, including a used pencil exchanger.

Oh my gosh, what an amazing surprise to find this as I took a little break at the shop! Thank you, Jason! (See also the email I just sent.)
To everyone else, I hope you can make a visit to BH and if you do, absolutely say hi and let me know you're a fellow Kottke reader. Nyack is directly on the path from Brooklyn to Storm King, Beacon, and the Catskills and is a great place to stop for lunch after you've followed the Palisades Parkway across the NJ/NY border.
We do not have any Hobonichi, I'll just tell you that now. But, in addition to the pencil exchange, we have a cloud registry where you can license clouds, memberships to the League of Alphabetizers for kids (which entails a scavenger hunt in the store), and a postcard mailing service where we'll mail your postcards for you over the next 6 months. We do have Field Notes and Blackwing but again: no Hobonichi. Thanks again, Jason!
This whole time I thought Nyack was just how some people were pronouncing New York. I really like the creativity talk on your website. I told a bunch of people I'm working on a cookbook. I'm on the hook now!
I hope to make it there someday, Sam! I bet you're gonna build a very special place.
