A tour of some playgrounds in NYC designed by kids, with features like pollinator gardens, hair-braiding stations, a floor-is-lava obstacle course, and human-sized chess boards. Love it — children should get way more of a say w/ stuff like this.

I wanted to be mad they lead with a pink basketball court for girls instead of all the other cool things the kids thought of … but instead I’m just sad it’s pink b/c the boys wouldn’t share the unpainted ones prior to the glow-up. That says a lot about so many things (but I deeply love the braiding chairs and hopping toad stools!$
