I was left disappointed by Disclosure Day, but maybe it's just me. I thought it was enjoyably Spielbergian and entertaining, but the ol' "empathy machine" fell short when it came to feeling recursive awe while watching a screen… of people feeling awe while watching a screen. I knew I was watching CGI… why didn't they?
I really liked it, which surprised me for some reason. I thought Emily Blunt was fantastic. And I appreciate Spielberg's seemingly inexhaustible ability to come up with a new & different two-shot for each of his films.
It might even shatter the world record.
