This is an interesting thought, but it’s not the best example considering the reason for Brunson taking less compensation was due to the NBA Salary Cap which is a league wide mechanism to keep the majority black athletes from maximizing their earning potential so that the league can continue to keep more wealth in the hands of the majority white owners.
