Sarah Rose (who is blind): “Meta glasses are absolute game changers for the blind community…they are completely revolutionary.” And: “It really is incredible to talk to your glasses and ask them what they see and have them tell you.”

I find the more fascinating part of this thread to be the part where she says the glasses themselves can often be a PITA. What came out to me loud and clear is that Meta would never have dreamed their glasses could help those with vision issues, and this is just an ancillary thing that happened entirely outside their design view. But yet -- they could be a great tool for people who really need them. And yet Meta does everything to make it hard for them to be that tool. Her point that the glasses aren't the problem, the will to regulate tech is the problem, hits home.
