This really is a story about the importance—and rewards—of having meaningful relationships with your neighbors, and also of the value of intergenerational friendships. I am supremely lucky to be surrounded by wonderful neighbors, many of whom are significantly older than I am, and with whom I have developed some of the most fulfilling relationships of my life. There is truly nothing better than getting a text from down the street asking if I want to sit on the porch and have some freshly baked pie and a cup of tea.
