There should be a post on here that asks readers for memories of things you learned about via Kottke.org. Two off the top of my head are: Boards of Canada and Banh Mi.
I think I've been reading kottke.org and listening to BoC for about the same amount of time. Couldn't agree more that we need this. I mean, this won't do anything material to fix everything, but I could use the diversion.
