I watched his shows avidly, as they brought all the wonders of the cutting edge to my screen. I was never quite clear whether when he had vendors on what the relationship was, as he let them speak in a rather unfiltered marketing manner, but it was still interesting. I remember seeing a chorded keyboard for the first time, and the product manager demoing kept calling QWERTY keyboards “antique keyboards,” which was both accurate and completely irritating.
I remember him well -- a charming and gracious man. I was a guest on the show in 1986.
