Stickertop.art is a massive collection of the tops of laptop computers adorned with stickers.

Laptop stickers are more than decoration, they’re a form of self-expression. Each one is a snapshot of a moment, a place, and an attitude. But they’re fleeting; when the technology becomes outdated, the laptops along with the stories stuck to them often end up in the waste pile. I thought it was a shame for something so personal and creative to just disappear, so I created this site to preserve them.

If you’re a laptop decorator, you can upload your sticker collection to the site. (via @juandesant)

Oh man, Beagle Brothers. I'm 25 again.

I too had an emotional reaction to Beagle Bros.

One of my all-time favorite laptop stickers was one from a (satellite services company) software engineer that read, "My Other Computer Is In Low-Earth Orbit"

The third one is from my neighborhood in Dresden (my postal code 😊) - and yes, that is exactly what teens' laptops look like here - interesting how this art form is both universal and culturally specific

"Antifa Area" ✌️ Love it!

While I don't do tattoos, I appreciate them as art expression.

However, I do like stickers on my laptops. Not a lot of them (currently just one) but I add to them throughout the years. :)

What do you call synchronicities like this?
I was reading a book this morning about John Lennon's lost weekend where he was hanging out & drinking with Harry Nilsson. I wasn't sure who that was so I searched him on Wikipedia. A little later I opened this laptop art link and one of the stickers says, "Listen to more Harry Nilsson."

I think this is what you’re referring to. It’s a bizarre experience that I always get a tickle out of.

Excellent. Thank you, Logan. I'm sure to see another reference to Frequency Illusion now as well.

This is great. I wish I had been more rigorous (a common refrain in my life thus far) about photographic my sticker-covered work laptops before turning them in.

Sigh: "photographing"
