Petrichor! 😍
I know! How was this word not in their dictionary before? I learned it over 30 years ago and use it all the time.
If you like dictionaries, I highly recommend reading Word by Word: The Secret Life of Dictionaries by Kory Stamper, a lexicographer at Merriam-Webster. It's fabulous.
Thanks, Ryan - will check this out. Also highly recommended (if you can find it): The Story of Webster's Third by Herbert Morton. Terrific for the details of pre-digital dictionary editing!
