From the inbox: “ldial is a website for listening to a curated list of community radio stations from across the US. I took efforts to make it super fast. To me, the random button feels like magic.”

May I recommend the student-run WVFS, 89.7 FM in Tallahassee?

This is excellent (I'm listening now). I need to do some behind the scenes work to allow for streams that are served over http only (not https), but I will keep this in mind once I have done that!

What a sweet, lightweight tool, and I too love the curation! I was glad to see the station I'm a member of (KCRW) and was delighted (and surprised) to also see WHRB included—my college radio station, where I both DJ'ed and worked as Jazz Director. I couldn't resist turning it on this morning and was surprised to hear a familiar voice: my old co-jazz-director, her voice unchanged by the years. It took me a minute to guess that they're filling the air over summer break with 13-year-old automation blocks...

Love KCRW. I spent many hours listening to Morning Becomes Eclectic when I was in college. When I moved to New York I realized that while taking the subway meant I got a lot more reading done, I missed all the radio time I got while driving in LA.

Great find! Some good ones missing but many I had not heard of/discovered as well.

I'd love to hear more about which stations should be added - this is a living list as I learn more.

KKCR (Kaua'i Community Radio) is a standard in my house. Waking up for "Overnight Hawaiian music" is lovely (thanks time zones).

Thanks for this recommendation! I turned this on this morning (California time) and had such a nice time listening to Hawaiian music over breakfast.
