Subtly Geometric Birds

There’s something a little bit mesmerizing about Aled Thompson’s illustrations of birds. They are at once highly detailed and also slightly vectorish โ€” and it shifts back and forth while I’m looking at them, like one of those young woman/old woman optical illusions.
