Bought a copy of Topol's book but haven't read it yet. I do pay for his newsletter which I find to be well balanced.

It's as irritating as it is reassuring that all 5 of these tips fall firmly in the "no shit sherlock" category. Not saying I want a magic bullet or "one weird trick" or whatever, but I do find strength training to be a bit of a chore, even though it's noticeably made me better at the things I actually enjoy as I've focused on it more directly.

Strength Training is my magic bullet - I've called it "become resistant to aging" - I threw my back out 2x last fall - strength training will protect me from that in the future, all my joints are protected with more strength. I haven't lost weight, but interestingly stairs became so much easier, I felt lighter... it's because I became stronger. Was very cool to realize this benefit.

The "If they're hawking a supplement..." advice applies to just about everything. See: Jen Gunter on women's health.
