Seeing Devo that night (I had just turned 15) literally changed the entire trajectory of my tastes in music. Led me to so much great music going forward.
Steve Albini has a very similar story about hearing the Ramones for the first time, and I remember feeling that way about Prince when I was a kid. That feeling -- hahaha this is ridiculous -> wait what is this? -> holy cow this is genius -- is something that is so precious.
