Iceland embraced a shorter work week. Here’s how it turned out. “Iceland’s economy is outperforming most European peers after the nationwide introduction of a shorter working week with no loss in pay, according to research released Friday.”

I feel so jealous of Iceland right now. This logical, practical and efficient switch to a better way for everyone in the country to live and work seems so far from the type of collective decision making we are capable of here in the U.S. And, yes, I know intellectually there are a lot of reasons why ( a population of 400K versus over 300M for one).

I would love to live in Iceland, but there would be times those volcanos would cause some concern. 🙂
