Time Lapse Drone Video “Climbing” to the Top of Mt. Everest

This 4K drone video from @liulangCooki‬ takes us on a journey from the base camp at 17,400 feet all the way to the summit of Mount Everest. Along the way, you can see tiny little people hiking up and the paths they take. Very cool.

Well I can now cross *that* off my list!

I don't suppose anyone has a link to the original, realtime, version somewhere? I'd love to see it not sped up.

What caught my eye was the number of people sitting down on the trail. I mean, it makes sense to stop and rest, but you rarely see that captured in still photos that document the climb.

What struck me was how much of it just looked like a slog - like not "mountain climbing" like you'd envision, but basically, just walking along, holding onto a rope.
Not until you get to the 8400m zone (where, of course, you're most incapacitated) does it start to look like you might require more skill / training / hand-holding.

IIRC the standard route on Everest is generally considered to be one of the easier 8000m peaks when using supplementary oxygen. K2 and others are significantly more technical.
