The End of Snow. “‘I’m not sure our grandkids will even know what snow is,’ she said, with a wry ‘I’m kidding, but I’m not’ laugh.”

My family has a home in VT - we head up there at least a few times per season. We were just there for the post-Christmas week and let me tell you in all the years we’ve been going there this is the first I can remember with no accumulated snow on the ground. We went to the mountain and it was all green and brown save for the snow created by the ski resort.

And just a wee bit further south in CT where I live, I don’t remember the last November/December where we had significant snowfall. I know it’s probably only a few years ago but it feels longer.

The seasons feel like they’ve shifted (and in some cases shortened). Winter where I live is now January thru early April. I’m thinking we should probably rename the months around here at this point.
