Grant Barrett has updated his excellent MTA

Grant Barrett has updated his excellent MTA fare analysis document to account for the recent price hikes. If you’re a pure communter (10 uses a week), the 30-day unlimited card is no longer your best value.

Face analysis, eh?

Me thinks you mean fare.

Mr Nosuch beat me to it! I was expecting photos of people's faces when they realised their fares had gone up.
That would be be a great idea for a website.

Argh. Fare! Fare! Guh. The typos on the site lately have been terrible. I'll be glad when this fund drive is over and I can focus on the content.

This fare guide is phenomenal. The metrocard is still a great deal. For $1000 a year all you can ride, there's no way to justify owning a car. If you figure in gas, tickets, time spent trying to park, I bet the cost of owning a car in New York is 4 or 5 times that of using the subway and occasionally renting a car.
