Splendid. The guy lucked out with a storm.
As i was planning my past winter trip there, I read everything I could on it, but had to plan our stay months in advance, and knowing the upcoming weather was a total crapshoot. Whenever a storm rolls through Yosemite you get great variable lighting, shadows, and highlights. After doing research I realized that every great Yosemite photo is usually shot right after or in the middle of a passing storm, otherwise the light is completely devoid of character and photos all look flat. I prayed for snow every night I was there, but none came. Lucky bastard (not that I could take photos anywhere near this guy's quality, but it would have been nice to get some shadows on the rock walls that look totally grey in my photos).

Wow. Those could possibly be better than Ansel Adams' pictures of Yosemite. Damn.
