Splendid. The guy lucked out with a storm.
As i was planning my past winter trip there, I read everything I could on it, but had to plan our stay months in advance, and knowing the upcoming weather was a total crapshoot. Whenever a storm rolls through Yosemite you get great variable lighting, shadows, and highlights. After doing research I realized that every great Yosemite photo is usually shot right after or in the middle of a passing storm, otherwise the light is completely devoid of character and photos all look flat. I prayed for snow every night I was there, but none came. Lucky bastard (not that I could take photos anywhere near this guy's quality, but it would have been nice to get some shadows on the rock walls that look totally grey in my photos).
