Weblog-spamming has been going on for some time now. The incident described at plasticbag.org seems almost innocuous. I had to delete a variant on the Nigerian e-mail scam from my site.

I actually left my favorite blogspam, though.

In one entry last fall I briefly mentioned buying goalkeeping gloves. Last Wednesday some guy left a comment wanting my "esteemed organization" to import his "Soccer Goalkeeping Gloves". He left his phone number, fax number, and e-mail address, and a wish that our "two trade houses" would create a good business relationship.

I love it. My weblog is a trade house.

I think the reason any on signs a guest book is to leave a link back to there sight... That's not spamming... Many people link that if you put your sight any where in the messgae then it's spam... I for one always leave legit feed back to sights with a link to my sight and some neebs have accused of spamming when i actually went to there sight and left some comments... my guess is people like to complain
