This is the strangest story I have ever heard. Really sad. Wonder what that map was ... the one she showed the officer.

was anyone else just extremely moved by this story? there is something about the vision of her walking off in the snow to die that is so stunning and horrible. and jesus- that map- what was she really looking for? it wasn't the gold. i think she was looking for a place to die.
