Thank you for posting this article. I'm an industrial designer (product designer) from America, living in Indonesia, and I think often people fail to realize the impact that design has upon their lives. Companies that do not embrace innovations will learn the hard way - this article provides backing to that.

Industrial design is finally catching the attention it deserves - having been deprioritized during financial hardships, and is rapidly breathing life into the design of "mundane" objects.

Design of any nature is going to become much more prevalent in coming years.
