Well I was there for 7 days last month and I can assure you that the local brew is not worth it.

In fact, for whatever reason, every pint you drink seems to weigh around a stone and a half.

I could not disagree more. You can find bad beer anywhere in the world, but the Czech Republic makes some of the best, and even now it's still wonderfully cheap.
