I was really disappointed when I found out I'm an idiot, and this photo wasn't actually taken by Dave Chapelle.

Glad I'm not the only one who read it as Dave Chapelle at first. That would have been a funnier photo, I'm sure.

Wow, he really does design some shitty album covers. Really like some of his photos, but wow.....wow.....those are some designs right out of graphic arts 101.

Does it say anywhere that he did the designs for those covers? I think he just did the photography, although as the famous photographer that he is, he probably has a bit more control over the composition of the finished product than a typical photographer.

David LaChapelle is vastly overrated, and most of those covers are disastrous, but Kim seems to be his #1 muse. The (unused) cover of "La Bella Mafia," where Kim runs from an armored car full of Queen-Bee-emblazoned money bags while wearing a full-length fur and a bandage-sized skirt, is ingenious, not least because of the girly pink script they used for the title.

And do I have to mention the hilarious, if almost racist, Godfather photo?

Okay, you obviously have cable because you know who Dave Chapelle is, but you haven't noticed the name, Davi LaChapelle in the credits of just about every other video Mtv has aired in the last 3 years? Thanks for the link J, I've always been interested in who this guy was, but never got around to the site. I think I see another Spike Jones or David Fincher on the horizon.
